Default Milage Question

Hey people. All Im waiting for now is the right s to come on to the market But two quick questions regarding milage.
What do you consider high milage on a 2000-2001 S?
I know there's all sorts of issues with milage like how its been driven over its life etc. All Im after is what you'd consider as high. I know average is about 10k a year. Also, Most 2001 models I've seen are around 70k. Is there anything inparticular I should be looking out for around this milage?

Cheers guys and girls. Im sure this rather stupid question has been asked a lot but I just want to make sure I get the best S for my money or at least go armed with the knowledge when buying.

I have 200k on my 2002 - THAT is high

More than 15k a year I would class as higher than average.

I reckon on about 120k for a new engine.

Some go more, some go less.

Again, having had a look at AE's, remarkable condition given the mileage

10k average a year is very low IMO - I agree with Ian more likely 14-15k. Mine's on 113k + and engine going strong ( )

126k on number 1
The rest on number 2

But everything else has the mileage on it (except suspension, clutch and gearbox, oh and diff, but that is still going strong, came off at about 190k)

Mine had done about 115k when I bought it.
2001 model.

I had one leaking shock, a TCT that needs replacing, a bit of a worn roof and a light whirr from the diff which needs an oil change or replacing when I get round to it.

So long as it's been well looked after for most of it's life, and with a bit of luck most the worst things will have been dealt with by the time it gets to you.
For example by Bushed had cracked early on (MOT Fail) so someone had paid many hundred pounds for new front wsihbones and bushes from Honda.
I've also got a new rear plastic screen.

There's plenty of battered old sheds around, but if you have time to look there's some relatively high milage cars that aren't in bad condition.

I'd consider 115k to be relatively high, but nothing to worry about.
Especially if you can see some service history with decent oil changes and a good series of owners who have looked after it.

Thanks People. Much appreciated.
Trying to find a Berlina at the mo with Red seats but they seem to be few and far between. The amount of Silverstone I see makes me wish I was looking for that colour... Damn me and my pickyness!

I've had my car now for 1 month and has done 3200 miles. I picked it up with 40 on it.

No wonder my bank balance took a hit this month!! D'oh!
