Default Coffee

So lately I've been drinking a lot of coffee with school and other things keeping me up all day, and I realized that I need to step up my game when it comes to equipment. When I make coffee at home it's just plain old instant coffee, I just add boiling water to a couple spoonfuls of coffee. A few of my friends work at Starbucks so whenever I'm there I get hooked up with all the extra shots of espresso and what not , and although I like it doesn't really need to translate into my homemade coffee experience.

What do you guys drink when it comes to your morning joe? Any recommendations on equipment? I'm not sure if I want to venture into the whole espresso machine thing, but if it is really worth it lemme know! Also I checked out a few review sites but there is just too much of this stuff out there, if you guys have any good links I would love some more info on the subject.

Self-contained and easy. I drink Americanos in the morning.

I brew Dunkin' Donuts Coffee at home. It's a bit expensive, but worth every penny IMO. If you're really on a budget 8 O'Clock Coffee is great and cheap.

French Press,by far the best coffee's I've ever had have been brewed through a french press....I have this model.

Always buy whole beans and never use store grinders, buy your own.

I prefer green mountain coffee, there dark magic and french roast blend are excellent.Dunkin donuts isn't a bad store brand though.

I Monster in the mornings, but otherwise, I have a French Press which I love.

The trick is pure water and good beans. I prefer my local place for beans; you may not be so lucky. If it smells right - chances are it's close to what you want.

Coffee stains your teeth.
That being said...

I like my coffee like I like my women.

I can highly recommend the Aeropress for folks who like French press but not any grounds in their coffee. Works great. See -- http://www.amazon.com/dp/B000GXZ2GS/ref=as...ASIN=B000GXZ2GS

I used to do all the fancy crap french press stuff and grind my own coffee, but I gave up and just do Taster's Choice instant now with Coffee Mate hazelnut creamer. I prefer it over all the expensive coffee I used to buy.

Thanks for all the input guys I think that I might have stumbled upon a bunch of coffee aficionados and my question was a bit vague. I want to know what I should buy if I just want to wake up, add water and coffee beans, and get a good tasting and quality joe. I don't necessarily need espresso or anything fancy, just decent coffee. Should I buy some coffeepot- looking contraption or stick to instant Taster Choice for my needs?

I've never had instant coffee, but if you like it why bother with anything else? If you think you'd prefer brewed coffee get a Mr. Coffee pot for $15.00 at WalMart. You don't need a timer or anything special.
