we have a keurig brand machine in our office.

i personally am not a coffee snob, or at least... not really... but i think their coffee tastes like shit. your mileage may vary.

My sister has a machine w/ a timer & grinder built in. Put in the whole beans, put water into the machine, set the timer. Timer goes off in the morning, beans get ground (so they don't lose freshness), and the brew cycle starts.

I've never used it, but it seems nifty. Then your coffee is ready when you roll out of bed.

All you need in the world is a good French Press, some good bean (not Starsucks garbage), and a pot to boil water in.
I'm pretty sure I heard that pot was to piss in...

I have a simple $20 Mini Mr. Coffee, got it from target or walmart... perfect for 1 or 2 people. I get either coffee at the fresh market and grind my own beans there, they have crazy flavors like pumpkin spice! or just dunkin donuts coffee.

I hate the stuff. Tastes like dirt water to me so I substitue a diet coke for my caffiene needs.

But my wife is big into the stuff and always likes Kona coffee from her native state of Hawaii. Especially the Lion brand. She makes a Lion Coconut Kona blend when company comes over and they all seem to love it.

Still tastes like crap to me but what do I know.

FYI, coffee has been shown to increase cholesterol especially when brewed with a french press.

Sucks for me.
