I never understood the real coffee fiends and their critiques of coffee being bitter, bland, burnt, etc until I switched from Triple Cream, Triple Sugar 4 or 5 years ago.

Now the subtle flavors and charateristics are brutally apparent. Sadly there is a Starbucks in the lobby of my office. Oh yeah, I switched jobs to a new company yesterday so no more working at home and no more homebrew coffee.

I just bought one of these. I can't drink work coffee anymore, so I bring my own. It claims to keep hot drank hot for 24 hours. I just need it to last until 11 am or so. A plus is that it's dishwasher-safe.

Looks cool! What was the cost?

I'd be up for bringing one of those in for the cost savings, and sparing of my tastebuds.

At home, we use a Bunn. I think it is the NHBX model. It holds a tank of hot water so it brews 10 cups in about 3 minutes - NO heating time.

At work I used a Black & Decker that had a transparent tank and a thermal carafe. The transparent tank was necessary because I had a water line with a filter and a valve run over to the cabinet from a local water cooler. The thermal carafe was necessary because I was drinking the whole pot myself and the heated carafes would burn the coffee in about two hours.

Priced in the low twenties; not bad in my opinion. Thermos King series. Sold at Target and through Amazon from Target.
