I'm looking into getting a lens or two for my girlfriend for christmas. I have a few questions:
Will these work AND autofocus on a D60?
Are either of these good for automotive photography? We spend a lot of time at the track and at autocrosses. She only has the stock lens that comes with the D60 and has been wanting a lens that will get great shots of the cars from a distance.

Come to think of it, I don't think I would need the 18-55mm because I believe that is the lens that she would have received with her D60. Correct me if I'm wrong.

the 18-55 is most likely the lens she got as a kit lens. and as far as i know, they should both work with the autofocus on the d60. kenrockwell.com is the place to check for some great info on Nikon stuff and double check that.

yes, both these lens will work on the D60, the 18-55mm is what comes with the kit and the 55-200mm also comes with the D60 kit if you want it to, the package will only cost more
