Default Who is driving his S this winter through the snow?

Hey guys,

I put my new Blizzak WS60s on the S, Friday afternoon and had the car aligned.

Saturday morning I head out on a 500 mile round trip to Chicago to celebrate a buddies birthday. To my surprise, the Blizzaks handled terribly on the highway. The sidewalls are far to spongy. Steering was VERY delayed. But then again, they are SNOW tires. Not sure what I expected.

That leads me to ask, how many of you will be piloting your S's through the snow this winter? What tires will you drive on, and how many of you like to attempt drift shenanigans in the snow?

This is my first year with the S and I intend to drive it year round, though I have a beater truck if it gets too crappy or salty.

I'm running Dunlop Wintersports right now and I've hardly noticed a difference driving 7/10ths on the street compared to the Michelin summer tires that I had on it. I'm kind of surprised because the Dunlops are stock sized and the Michelins were 225/265 front/rear. I really thought there would be a dramatic difference with the Dunlops, maybe I'm not pushing the car hard enough. So far these tires have been great but I haven't had a chance to try them in the snow.

Yes, I plan on shenanigans.

Toyo Observes.
4th winter using them.

Average on dry at speed, not hugely confidence-inspiring, but still very capable.
Absolutely killer in the snow.

I pass 4x4s on a regular basis while being well within my limits.

Maybe they screwed up your alignment? Did they give you a sheet on how they set it up?
