Dash protection
Hey guys, I wanted to check with some of the pros on here on what the best way is to protect your dash and keep it nice and shiny! I have used armor all stuff, black magic (once or twice). I used some other stuff the other night a friend recommended that hes been using for a while, and after i finished everything up i noticed some red on my rag (all red interior). Im assuming that it didnt like the red dye as opposed to black since hes never had any problems. What are some of the best ways to keep the dash and the doors looking nice and fresh but doing a good job at protecting them as well... I hear things about the 303 protectant going on the dash? Let me know people, thx ahead

303 is my most used product and has been for almost 10 years I like a matte finish so i let it sit for a minute or two then use a MF towel to wipe it off.
I don't think you can go wrong with either Vinylex or 303. I couldn't fine either of these in the stores I went to (and I went to quite a few), so I actually used Meguiar's Gold Rich Leather Cleaner/Conditioner. I had bought it because I initally wanted to try an all-in-one product for my seats and I don't like the smell of Lexol. I was looking to buy something else for the dash but the clerk suggested just use the same Meguiar's product. What the hell I thought, and gave it try. The doors and the dash look great- nice and dark blue, not too glossy. We'll see how long it lasts though, as I just put it on today.

I drive my car frequently, but not every day; hence, I don't really worry about "protecting" it from the UV. I also like the matte, natural look. My preferred interior cleaner is 1Z Cockpit Premium, available from Detailer's Domain. I really like this stuff. A close second is Meguiar's Interior Quik Detailer, which has the advantage of local availability--it's also a good value.
I have also heard good things about Meguiar's new Ultimate Protectant: see Tim Lingor's review and Michael Stoop's article on how to apply it. You should be able to find UP at most local auto stores.

Another option is Einszett Vinyl and Rubber Care. It has a very subtle "look" to it, unlike Cockpit Premium, which doesn't look like anything. VRC darkens up an S2000's interior parts slightly, without much shine and without any greasy feeling. It also smells great. Among interior dressings, it's my current favorite.
