Default Should I Buy An S2000?

Is it me or has there been an unusually high influx of newbies posting this question lately? I've noticed with each one, fewer and fewer replies are coming forth because people are getting tired of answering the same thing repeatedly. To get over this influx "hump", maybe we should start a thread where those who normally reply to these types of questions post 1 or 2 answers here and when we see the next such question, we could simply "copy and paste" this link.
Let's put no more than a couple of "Pros" and "Cons" of buying this car per member. (You don't have to do a con if you think there isn't one.) Of course each new question will have its own peculiar twist but this might be a start. After a while, "regulars" will get a rest and begin to reply again. I'll even put this in the FAQ's if there is enough response. Please try not to duplicate an answer previously posted.

I'll begin:

Pro - Drop dead good looks.

Con - limited carrying capacity & room for only 2.

Disclaimer: All these responses are "personal" opinions and do NOT necessarily reflect a general concensus.

PROS: "Some around here call the S2000 the best Honda ever. Whether you agree or not, most at least believe the little roadster has already carved out a chapter for itself in the annals of future classic car-dom. And it's done that in less than three years on the market. How much longer Honda churns out these gems we can't say; how much longer doesn't really matter. What matters is that so long as there are S2000s to fling like go-karts through city parks and down mountain roads, so long as that sweet little 2.0-liter keeps spinning out a mind-boggling naturally aspirated 120 horsepower per liter, or so long as you can lie back, close your eyes and feel the snick-snick of the billet shifter in your grip, then the S2000--because it existed at all--is legendary already."

CONS: People will want to compare it to the Porsche Boxster S, since they are so similar in performance. Then they will tell you that the Porsche name carries a better image but they fail to mention it also carries an additional price tag of $25,000 more.

PRO's and CON's:

Take a test drive: either you'll know why you should buy it, or you really should buy something else.

Pros: Value, handling, looks, somewhat exclusive, and an absolute scream to drive.
Cons: You can't drive it 24 hours a day. Lack of an integrated convertible top cover. If you want a drag car, don't buy it - you'll be disappointed.

Summary: If you want to feel like Michael Schumacher, buy it. If you want to feel like Don Garlits, don't.

xviper, when I saw the thread with your name on it, I thought it meant, "Should I buy ANOTHER S2000."

Pros: Turns heads, even when I haven't washed it in weeks (forgive me, Sal Zaino), and even though it's nearly a year old.

Cons: My wife reminds me of the car every time there's another time for me to get a gift (Christmas, b-day, anniversary...). I won't be buying anything from Rick's for awhile!
