Evolution installed the first test high boost pulley from Vortech on my car today and OMG she is soooo FAST!!! When the Vortech kit was first installed I was genuinely impressed with the quality and the top end boost it produced, however it wasn't enough. (Will it ever be?) The new pulley is a 1/4 inch smaller and maxed at .8 (11-12) psi at 9000. We increased the wide throttle fuel using my VAFC to be safe until I can dyno tune with a wideband, but it stills seems to be leaning out in the high end. I will try to hit the dyno in the next few days ($ permitting), and I expect to hit around 320-330 to the wheels which I will be more than happy with. (For now)
Didn't one of the turbo guys... derryck... or someone say that hitting 10 psi was pushing it? I could be totally off on this. I was also wondering would there be any way for you supercharger guys to bleed boost so that you could hit5-6psi at 3500-4000 rpm and once it hit 8 psi vent the extra? Once again I could be smoking crack here
To all those worried about longevity I would say that you have to consider the nature of the boost. The boost levels don't actually get up to 10-11 psi until near readline, therefore it's only going to be at those boost levels for a split second before shifting. With enough timing pulled this should be fine.
Long term wear is another issue, but that's almost the same argument as "if I rev to 9000 daily will the motor last as long as a motor that doesn't?". There are so many factors involved in motor wear that you can't say that one motor will last longer than another.
Also, regarding the injectors, comparing fuel levels (duty?) between the Comptech, Speedcraft, and Vortech kits at X boost level is pointless because they all have fuel pressure regulators that are calibrated differently. I know that the Speedcraft kit is calibrated to 12:1 meaning for every 1 psi of boost, it boosts fuel pressure by 12 psi. I am sure that the Comptech kit is less agressive, and I am not sure what the Vortech is... If it's anything greater than the Comptech kit there fuel shouldn't be a problem at 11 psi with the stock injectors.

PS-Yellow Streak, I am using 720cc injectors and the car idles great, and has good throttle response.
