Default What is best way to increase torque?

Anyone know how to increase the torque on the s2k, lack of torque seems to be its main problem - any suggestions would be greatly appreciated,
thanks all

Transplant an RB26DETT or a Holden Monaro 5.7L V8 engine in there

Can you believe at 100km/h from standing start we're still only nose to tail on one of those cars? With an engine nearly 3 times our size??!! (Dragged one the other night)

Are you suggesting longer stroke?

He's being facetious. He's speaking in terms of "Physics" - you know, levers & fulcrums, mechanical advantage, etc.
The "longer lever" would be equivalent to "gearing" in this discussion.
The "applying more force" would be equivalent to adding more power like the supercharger for example (or any other way of adding more power).

Your "stroker" kit is not much gain for the money spent. Don't forget you'll have another thousand bucks, maybe two, just to tear the engine down to put all that stuff in.

One of the easiest ways would be to use a heavier flywheel. I did this in shifter karts a couple of times, depending on the track. It seemed to be totally opposite of the norm, but it was the fast way. We even lowered compression to get higher revs ;}

S/C
Out of the three forms of FI (turbo, s/c and nitrous) the S/C will have the smallest impact on torque. Nitrous would have the greatest, then the turbo and then the S/C.
