.... we in the Del-Val are trying to find out who these people are and pray it's not one of our own.

Prayers go out to the victims and families...

Absolutely tragic. Sympathies go out o the families of the loved ones, and pray that it isn't anyone of the forum.

I don't understand why people continue to street race, "show off" or conduct any other behaviour while driving that put lives at risk. Cars can be replaced, but lives are not so tangible. We see these posts on here all too frequently. I think it's time a lot of us, including myself at times, wake up, and face the consequences of mere testosterone induced insanity that we subject ourselves to on city streets.

There..my 2c

That's awful. I'm glad no innocent bystanders were hurt.

OMG! Those are some scary, scary images. If you didn't notice it, there are two small "related links" next to the main article that include some pics that are a little too up close and personal. My heart goes out to those involved and their families...
Enjoy your cars, but, try to enjoy them safely.

Actually, looking at the pic of the back half of the car it appears that the cockpit is intact, which is what we've seen in a lot of S2K crashes. Also, the fact that both occupants were ejected indicates to me that they weren't wearing their seat belts. Had they not been ejected they both might have survived. If you're gonna street race at least wear your seat belt!

Very tragic and sad.

When both occupants of one car were ejected would it imply that seat belts were not worn?
I know that it is possible to be ejected from a vehicle whilst wearing a seat belt it is very unlikely.

It is amazing how relatively undamaged the cabin is. With seatbelts this crash could have been very survivable.

What do you guys think?

WEAR YOUR SEATBELT!!!

It would have saved the driver's life and min. injury to the passenger.
