Default Saying Goodbye...... :(

.... to an old friend (seen this morning, frosted over before her final drive):

With my growing family, it was time to say goodbye to my longtime friend, my 1992 Prelude Si, which has seen me though some of the best years of motoring that I've ever had. This car has never let me down, was always eager for a high-speed freeway run (just yesterday, on the way to the dealer's for the trade-in determination, we reached 100mph - since it was raining, I left it at that, though there was plenty more to go...), and has been simply the most pleasurable everyday car to own and drive that I've ever had. I actually cried after parking at the dealer's today, where my wife and I picked up a new 2003 Accord EXL Sedan. She'll be driving the Accord; I get her 1993 Civic (seen in the background above).

I'll miss my old friend....

Well, I have to ask. Why not send the Civic packing and keep the 'lude instead?

Having the back seat will be more practical in the long run, and the Civic has fewer miles(114000 vs 160000 for the Prelude), and is more likely to make it 4 more years while I pay off the Accord and my S2000. The logic of the decision doesn't make it much easier, though.....

Ah, makes perfect sense. See how parenthood changes everything?

Oh, and I forgot the other reason - the Prelude has NO cupholders!

WW! Jonas, sorry to hear about your Prelude. I'm not sure what it is about Preludes. I sold my '88 Si 4WS a few years ago and regret it everyday (well, almost everyday)

It was a great car and like yours, never let me down.

Jonas, send me your full size pic of the S2000 and I'll resize it for your avatar. Email me at ralvarez@tritonpcs.com

Thanks and take care!

BTW, great choice on the Accord EX-L. My wife wants to trade her Pilot for a new Accord!

I know how you feel Jonas. I traded my '94 Integra for my '00 Explorer. It was the car I picked my mom up from her nursing home to go to my brother's for Christmas of '95. It was the last time my mom was in it because she passed away the following August. It was a good car and had some good memories behind it.
At least you have your Ginger.
