Default Civic SiR?

Anyone driven the new Civic SiR hatch?
I am remotely curious about it since it has massive space for all the junk I have gotten into lately.

I haven't driven one but someone at work had last year's model and it drinks oil just like the S does.

I test drove that white one in med hat. To be honest.. I like my P5 better. It might be less powerful than the SiR, but I like the styling beter. Each to their own!!

Danny,

I have driven one a few times now. I really do like the car, and prefer it over the old P5. That said, I haven't driven the new Mazda 3, which, equipped with the optional 2.3L, should be a terrific hoot to drive.

Back to the SIR. What appeals to me most is the unique styling. Unlike any other Honda before, this UK designed hatch really appeals to all five of my senses. From the scent of the alacantara-esqe interior, to the tactile ergonomics of the perfectly placed shifter, this little car has it all. Unlike other rev-happy cars from the Honda stable, I found this hot hatch to have plenty of low down poke for day to day driving. It's not a fast car by any means, but is decievingly quick given its torque band. Fit and finish is up to Honda par, and the transmission aims to please without any Honda trade mark notchiness. The steering is a little dull, perhaps made worse by the high center of gravity, and itty-bitty tires the car comes with. Amenities are on par with the competition, and again, I can't over emphasize just how neat the seats/steering wheel are.

In light of the upcoming wedding, I almost traded in the Tundra on a remaining '03 model last month. If you knew how much I was getting for a left-over '03, you likely wouldn't believe me. The deals are hot, and colour selection immense. If you're gonna do it, I'd say do it now.

Good luck
Asif

The SIR is just not selling! If anyones interested in a new 2003 let me know as the pricing is incredible.
I'm thinking this will be my next demo! What a great all around vehicle. I'd say the next best Honda made.

The transmission in this thing is only second to the S2000 imo...

The only new Honda coming out this year is the Jazz/Fit. I dont' think we'll see the Civic Type R anytime soon if at all.
