Default found a s2k help please

Hi i found a salvage title 02 s2k with 75k on it for 8k is that a good price runs okay has some cuts in the roof also i thought they had hid on them this car had a kit you buy on ebay thnaks Tim furture s2k owner

Well thats a good price but you have to look at future expense: the top around 1500, to make it decent another 3,000 and other unknown expenses. So you are better off looking for a s2000 that has a clean title and working order.

wow 8k seems really good. You should take it to a body shop and have them check it out. Salvaged title cars are salvaged for a reason.

I say stay away. if all they want is 8k then it was probably really bad or they screwed up and are trying to dump it.

Post some pix, car fax, and most importantly have it checked by a bodyshop for body damage and honda for mechanical.

Sometimes salvage can be a decent deal if you are going to buy it cash. Some finance companies wont finance salvaged vehicles. keep resale in mind.

where is it located, if it's in my area I can take a quick look at it for you.

ok i found out why so cheap it has a ticking noise sounds like the valve and blowing a little black smog..i think i would find a used one in good condition

Pass on that one.

That ticking can sometimes be a spun bearing. not worth it, avoid it like the plague.
