Default gearing help

Picked up a diff with LSD for my s13, originally I thought it was a 4.3 gear ratio but I think it's actually a 4.1 gearing. Now I was offered to swap for a 4.3 if seller ever gets one but by than I'm sure I'll have the diff in and will have to do the whole swap again which I rather avoid. Since I had to swap diff covers an drive to long beach to get this and I don have alot of free time

So is there really much difference between 4.1 vs 4.3 ????

SOHC N/A? yes it will make a little difference.

Boosted? the bigger gears will hurt you.

What are your plans? What gears do you have now?

diff I got has 4.10 I belive, it's dohc n/a no turbo anytime soon
I know for turbo longer gears are best

Just wondering if there's much difference with 4.10 vs a 4.3

Should I keep 4.10 or swap the seller if he gets a 4.3 later ?

Your stock gear ratio is 4.08. I think for a stock KA every little bit helps.

Where did they get 4.10's from?

Do the math, 4.10-4.30 over 4.08. It's about the difference from going from small wheels, to big wheels. If that gives you an idea.

.2 not that big of a deal unless you have gear everything to a specific ratio and installed the wrong gears. In your case you can make up for it with wheel/tire sizing

Did you end up picking up that one I told you about?
