Default NEW CLUTCH and DC HEADER

ALL RIGHT!! Just got my car back from my boys' shop. Got a Stage 3 clutch and DC header installed. The clutch is real grabby tho. I gotta get use to it. If anybody decides to upgrade their clutch..i highly reccommend the same one i'm using.

All i need to do now is to replace the beat-up soft top.

Anyone know of any upholstery shops that don't charge stupid prices?

hey what kinda clutch did you get? I will only buy ACT. As for it grabbing hard what do you expect with a STAGE 3?

I hope you don't launch on it too much, cuz it'll go straight to the differential. I think that's why the stock clutch was designed to be so feathery. A lot of people have recommended me to go with a ACT, so keep us updated on how you like it.

I have DC headers, but the stock heat shield doesn't fit on it, so my engine bay has been getting hot as ****. Damn heat has even cracked my CF hood.

site is finally up!!

it's a sprung XTD 6 puck disk. It's a new brand. A couble ppl I know have been using on their hondas and say it performs good. I don't reccommend getting an ACT clutch. There was another S2k there getting the diff replaced because the ACT clutch grabbed a lil more than it was suppose to.

I don't plan on launching too often nor at high rpm. I alread know about the weak s2k diff. Maybe later i'll do that crazy silvia 240 diff swap that a lot of high hp s2k's do.

If you think about it...up grade clutch equals more strain on diff, upgrade diff more strain on axles, upgrade axles more strain on trans and etc..

So it wasnt the act clutch it was just the face the clutch was upgraded.

On another note I've always heard that DC headers lost power?

and dam a 6puck clutch is really grabby, dont think a street act clutch will grab more than a 6puck, work out those calves

I have tried a lot of cluthes in my days. I have always used ACT for my Honda's.

Mostly Street Dics with Heavy Duty Pressure Plate, but for my Drag EG with H22 Turbo I had to use a 4 puck dics. I have only used 6 puck once in a Hatch with B16 Stroked to 1.8 and it was okay.

There is a big difference between Dics's, so no matter if you launch hard or not, eventually your Diff is going to go, just take it easy and don't try to drive like Mugen (Mike) or that guy that went to El Mirage with us in the White S and you'll be okay

I have seen some dyno sheets were the dc actually lost power but who knows. When i saw it on griffens car it looks like a oem replica with a coat of ceramic.
