Unhappy Valve train work?

Hey, I'm thinking about doing some valve train work. I've been told many things such as not to do it or to just go for it. I know it yields many advantages from what I've been told. I just wanted to know if there is anyone out there who has done this before. Are there any noticeable gains? I'm also looking into going to forced-induction in the near future. Will that give me more gains compared to FI with a stock valve train? I was thinking into getting bigger valves, dual valve springs, new cams, and a stroker kit. Will all of this be worth for whatever gains I will get?

I think you should go FI 1st so you can see and feel how much you gain before digging into the engine! I think you will find you pick up enough hp! You need to have more time in your S before going any bigger! your still a little new with your S ! take it slow with your mods.

jmo!

The way I see it is that valve train work seems a whole lot cheaper than FI. And if I don't go FI, I'll still have some nice work done. I just don't wanna blow my car up lol. Is it worth it though? I was looking at those Brian Crower valve train parts and they don't seem expensive compared to other brands.

Stroker kit alone is about $1000 plus labor.

FI you can get for about $2500 new.

Youre halfway there.

Hmmm.. Well, here's the SC kit that I showed JC. http://www.superchargersuperstore.com/inde...sort=20a&page=2

There are 2 kinds though, V2 SCi trim system and V3 SCi Tuner kit. I don't know the difference.

Are you new to the boost world?

I would suggest a kit that comes with an EMU, also there are several used vortec kits for sale on the FS threads... Buy one of those.
