Default Video camera help

Well heres the lowdown. I want a video camera, i want a digital camera as well. I dont wanna spend money on both. i know a lot of video cameras can take still pics but just with so-so clarity. SO im trying to decide or find a camcorder that records onto DVD-rw or onto a mini hard drive or flash or something, Takes semi clear still pics and not spend toooo much money on it

Also anyone know about how to get a "remote lens" or some kind of attachment like that so that i cna basically have the camera in my backpack and plug in a remote lens thats small and strap it to a helmet for a helmet cam.

Are you looking for motorcycle helmet cam or bicycle helmet cam.

How long are the videos you want to take?

I have a video cam that does stills...not impressed. Look for one that has a memory card so the stills are saved to the memory card, not the tape.

I have not heard good things about the mini DVD cameras.

The best way is the new hard drive cameras but they are expensive.

Next best would be mini DV.

Last would be Still camera that can shoot short movies.

What do you want to do with it?

Samsung also makes the SC-X210L which also has a remote lens.
