Default ***New memeber needs some tip***

What's up guy's??? I recently aquired a new job and I've been thinking about getting rid of my slightly modded 05 Civic Coupe, to get a S2. I plan on having the S2 by my family reunion in July 05' (NJ). It will be my first road trip. I've been looking around on autotrader.com and other sites, to kinda get a idea of how much I'm going to be looking to spend. I'm only 19, make $13/hr working 6 days a week. I still live with my parents and will be, especially if I get the S2. Anyway just wanted to introduce myself, and get some feedback on what I should look for specifically. I don't really care too much for the year of the car (body style) until mileage is involved, but all the S2's are nice to me. I still contemplating whether or not to part out my Civic or just give it to my mother to sell and get a little extra money for herself. Anyway, any feedback is accepted, and if this is the wrong section, I apologize, please move. Thanks.

really depends on where u live. If you have shitty winters then keep the civic and drive the s2k only in the summer.

My hat is off to you bud! You thinking of your mothers welfare at your age tells me you're a good guy!!! You're welcome in our community anytime.

I say sell your after market parts first. If your mother could use the cash sell the car and give her some or all of the cash, nothing is more important then family.

If your dreams are obtainable without putting you into a bind I say go for it and get the S2k.

I picked up a '03 because that is when they came out with the glass rear window and better stereos.

Good luck with your decision my friend!

I live in Virginia (Chesapeake), near Virginia Beach. Winters are not that bad but if I get the S2 its gonna be my daily driver. I think I might part out and give my mother some of the extra $$$$, bc if I cant get good financing, imma have to go right back to her to sign for me. I gotta go to a Honda Dealership and see what kinda deal they will give me on a new one, just to get a round figure. I also need to call my insurance company and see how much that will be.

freshpair86,

Be sure to check out the Mid-A section here. That is the VA and MD boards. There are a ton of great people in Mid-A who can assist you with any questions and even a help with a dealer referral.
