Yeah i appeciate all the comments on my situation. I have to seriously weigh out the positive and negative of this. I don't plan on moving out until January 07, so first and foremost if I do get the S2, imma have to save. As I stated I don't have too many out of pocket expenses, but I think I can handle the S2 if I make that decision. But that later down the road. Again, thanks to everyone. This community has been helpful and I really appreciate it. Ill be posting more, but since i don't have a S2 yet, you probably see me more in 6 months. Anyway, thanks again guys.

**As an added note, I plan on saving 12 G's between now and July. I think that should be more than enough to help me along until I adjust to the payments. I will be doing business with a family friend that has sold my family many Hondas. That way I'm sure to get the best deal possible. He's looking for me right now. I "hired" him when he came to my house for dinner the other night. Anyway, thanks.

I can certainly understand the appeal of the S2000, as most of us around here truly love the car. Life is short, and I tend to advise people to live for today...

See if you can find an 00 or 01 and drive a hard bargain for 15K or so. The big thing will be to find a good rate on a used car loan.

Insurance is a big issue for you, and you need to shop around big time. I'm not sure that you can afford it on your salary. Some places will cost you 3K or more per year as a young driver with an S. Make sure you work all the numbers before you do this.

Best of luck.

I checked into my insurance and I'm looking at about $350/month. I talked to my dealer and he said if I put $12,000 down on a $23,000 car, my payments will be $240/month. My payments now are $300/month for my Civic and my insurance is $200. So ill be adding about $50-$100 to my expenses. Anyway I know everyoneis tired of hearing about me. I'll see you all in about 6 months. Oh I'm trying to get a 2003 because of the glass problem. Anyway thanks again. You are ****in great.

ehh just a word to the wise, don't trust the dealer on that rate. You're too young to have a good credit history, and unless your parents or someone cosigns with you, he's estimating you at like a 7% (roughly?, maybe more) APR. I would think at your age, especially if not cosigning it would be more.

But I know nothing about credit applications so I could be completely and totally wrong
