Default 11 year break, back with my 4th S2k

Hello all! I picked up an 07 BB S2k about 4-5 weeks ago. This is my 4th S2k. I had an 01 back in 2003 (this is when I joined S2ki and made my stupid user name , but I was 21), bought an 02 in 2005, and an 03 in 2008. I think I sold the last one in 2010 so it's been about 10-11 years since I've had one. Well, the itch hit again. The 07 I found was rough on the outside, pretty clean on the inside, and solid mechanically.

Over the last month I've focused on creating an ownership baseline. There's about 121k on the motor. First up was a compression test. It tested 246 to 250 on all cylinders so I felt pretty good about that. Next up was changing all fluids. Spark plugs were also changed. Also changed the TCT with a Billman just to be safe. I will be doing a valve clearance check and changing the valve cover gasket as well. At this time, I've turned my attention to the suspension and have replaced ball joints, bushings, end links, tie rods, and more. The car had auto fortune coil overs on it, so we will see how they hold up. The tires that were on it were crap, so I've put on some Nitto NT05's with w/ a 225 / 255 set up. Brakes look pretty good, clutch feels strong, and the top was recently replaced. As of now, I'm waiting for the headlights to come back from being refinished and my dent guy to come out and take care of things.

My future plans for this summer are to continue to address things that show signs of wear (moldings, ap2v2 wheels, paint correction), add a big brake kit, possibly add a hardtop, and enjoy it on some spirited drives. My winter plans at this point is to add a SOS supercharger.

I'm very excited to be at a place in life where I can start to teach my 9 year boy the joys of this car, drop him off at school in it, and hopefully make some memories with it. I'm also excited to part of the community again! I'll get some pics as soon as it's back together and ready to hit the road.

You know it's a great car when people buy these things more than once. Congrats

Thank you. I'm very much enjoying this car from a whole different perspective this time around. Just a genuine appreciation of the car all around. I rarely see one on the road anymore (maybe 2-3 in the last year) so I know I need to take care of this one.
