Default 2001 AP1 in Southeastern PA

I purchased my S2000 from an S2KI member about a year ago - a Spa Yellow 2001 AP1 with about 45k on it. I've slowly been working my way up the Honda food chain, formerly owning a RSX Type-S, 5th gen Prelude, V6 Accord, 3rd gen Prelude, and a 3rd gen Integra. I finally found myself in a position to afford a low-mileage stock S2000 and use it as my daily. Next stop: NSX?

I have snow tires on a spare set of wheels I use in the winter, but I hope to get a 2nd car soon, some kind of high-mpg stickshift practical beater for the bad days, like an Element, CR-V, Taco, or even a Kei truck. The S2000 is perfectly manageable in the snow and ice with snow tires, but the other idiots on the road are not, no matter what they are driving. I was almost rear-ended just this morning by someone else not managing the tiniest patch of ice on the road. The idiot ended up missing me by less than a foot by going in the other lane, and finally stopping about 5 feet further than the front of my car. It wouldn't have just hurt my body, it would have hurt the entire universe to lose an S2000.

I absolutely love my AP1. I have a few back roads on my daily commute, so I always try to hit the VTEC in 2nd and 3rd gear... after it warms up (the cold throttle cut-off really surprised me, even though the previous owner warned me about it). Compared to the K20 in my RSX Type-S, the F20 is rough and growly, with slightly less torque at low revs. At high revs... well, you know. K20 is fun to rev up, but the F20 is a monster.

I just took my car to Young's (a mechanic and S2KI member) to have the stock TCT replaced (went with the Ballade), and inspection/emissions. He said the car was in great shape

I'll mainly be on S2KI for technical info and product recommendations, but I also hope to go to some east-coast events if there are any.

Just washed. Taken today. The thing behind it (not the trash) is a CBR500R.

Me with my Maisto 1:18 after a vigorous xmas eve drive through Bucks County, PA.

Which one is the real one? Hint: it's the dirty one that isn't in focus

Awesome! How did you get your discs as shiny as the Maisto's?

Keep an eye out in the Del-Val sub-forum for a Billman meet in the Spring of '19.

Congrats on the purchase!!

Great pictures. As someone said recently "If the roof is up the storm better have a name!"

Honestly, in that picture the rotors are about a week old. They do have e-coating on them to prevent corrosion though.
