Default 2005 s2k or 2006 WRX

hello,

im interested in both of these cars..

first the 2005 s2k Used 26k miles..
2nd the 2006 WRX...used

my uncle works at a dealership they just got in a s2k on trade in.. they paid about 20k for the 2005 s2k... i can prollly get for that price.. or a little more.. we went a test drive today and i like the interior a lot.. under the hood.. im guessn the previous owner took out the intake and put in a huge AEM cold air intake.. now there is the huge space of nothing near the engine..minor mods..

the thing that bothers me is the 2 seater.. THATS IT! lol

my other option is the 06 wrx.. awd..turboo... sedan...

any opinions or suggestions?? thanksss

2 totally different cars.

The WRX is going to be easier to mod for the most part, there's lots of room for improvement. But it's heavier, and not quite as nimble.

The S2000 comes from the factory tuned pretty well, so short of adding a supercharger or turbo kit, big power isn't going to happen. Most modifcations will add only marginal power increases. But it handles like none other, and is an incredibly well balanced car. Plus, it's convertible and looks hot as hell.

I'm a Subaru fan, but I chose an S2000 as a daily driver for the fun factor and how nice it looks. Subies are very reliable (as are Hondas) and all wheel drive. So, you have a quick multipurpose sedan vs. a fast purpose built convertible. Very different cars, hardly comparable.

Personally if it's not a Sti then I wouldn't bother with the WRX and go for the S.
Out of all the cars that I have owned

350Z, Evo, GTO, Gti's, etc the S is by far the most fun to drive.

i was in the same situation when shoping this time last year

the S is a great car and i'm really glad i got it but i have wished i'd gotten a wrx a few times, like..

1.when 2 seats has'nt been enough
2.when it snowed
3.when i miss torque

i'd just spend alotta time behind the wheel of them both, and factor in how often you need a backseat or big trunk, and what your weathers like

An 05 for 20k, or even 23k, is a great deal. It has a lot of miles, but not more than acceptable.

the only thing holding me back is the fact the s2k can hold 2 people... i feel like there is going to be some times when i wish i had the extra seats.... thats the main reason why im cant decide..lol i love both cars.. when i went on a test drive yesterday.. i couldnt stop thinking about the s2k...

Get your priorities straight.

And FWIW, having a backseat to throw things into is really convenient. You won't realize how much you miss it until you don't have it.
