long term ownership on the s2000 is a safer choice as well. Honda's reliability especially with this vechicle is just uncomparable. In my experiance as well WRX as well as STI have a cheap feel to them interior wise especially over time

I don't understand this whole needing more than 2 seats thing. When do you ever need more than one extra seat?

Obviously the first seat is for you, and the second either goes to:

-Friend who appreaciates cars that you are giving a short ride to make jeleous.
-One girlfriend (the laws of physics dictate you can only take one of these for a ride at a time anyway).
-Or two skinny chicks sharing a seat.

What the hell else would you ever need to carry?

I have driven both....my brother has a stage 2 STi....it is HELLA fast, I would venture to say it is even SCARY fast....definatly will outrun the S along with other high performance sports cars....however in the turns it starts gets loose pretty quick and drives like a 4 door sports sedan (which is should). The gearbox isn't bad but is kind of "numb" feeling to me compared to the S. It basically boils down to this:

If you want a fast drag style car that is a 4 door sedan, get the STi.

If you want a car that is just fun to drive and feels more connected to the road (with convertible option), get the S.

i feel like there is going to be some times when i wish i had the extra seats.... thats the main reason why im cant decide..
That's what your buddies' cars are for.
I also miss my R32 sometimes, but that goes right out the window as soon as you press the "ENGINE START" button.

Oh, I also used to drive an '04 WRX and the fit and finish doesn't even come closed to an S.
In short, the S has better "quality" than the WRX, IMO.
Just my $0.02

get the s, you will find thae when there is need for more than just one seat your friends will start to drive and you will save money on gas. At least that is what happened to me. Good luck.
