Default 2006 S2000 or 2006 RSX Type S

So, now I am at a crossroad.. I either want to get a 2006 Laguna Blue S2000 or a 2006 Vivid Blue RSX Type S.

Which one would better to get, and why?

Will RSX's hold their value due to being discontinued?

How hard is it to make an RSX as fast as an S2000?

Any input is greatly appreciated.

Thanks

personally the RSX is completly out of the picture for me if you're gonna compare it to a s2000. They're complete opposites. The s2000 is the better choice if you can afford it for so many reasons unless if you want extra luggage room and want the option of carrying 2-3 extra people

I dont know about them holding their value but they can easily be made as fast or faster than S2K's. I/H/E and a hondata and you're into the 13s on a RSX.. But then again I/H/E on a '06 S2K will be faster than a RSX with the same mods.

if your talking about straight line performance put in 2gs worth of mods and you should smoke s2k all day.

How important is a convertible to you? Granted they're from the same family, but you're cross shopping two very different vehicles here.

Posting a question like "Which one would better to get, and why?" is kind of hard for us to answer, since we don't know your situation. What happened to the 2005 GPW in your screen name and user profile?

It's not very hard to make an RSX as fast as an S2000, they're a very capable platform and very (if not more) capable engine. But in the end, you're still driving a four-seat coupe (hatch) instead of a purpose built roadster, and no amount of modding can change that. Does that matter to you? It mattered to the rest of us .

Why are you trading in your '05 and still considering an '06? Do you really want something Blue?

Plus, if you already have one (S2k), why are you asking US what we think of the comparison between an S2k and an RSX? Shouldn't YOU be able to do that yourself?

Yeah, the S2000 is going out of style. It doesn't have a retractable hardtop and it doesn't have paddle shifters. It only has 17" rims instead of 18's at least, and it comes with a four cylinder. Come on now, everyone knows you need 6 cylinders now. There's no power seats, no Bose stereo system, and you can't even get rain sensing windshield wipers. What a sucky car.

Get the RSX.

So you already drive an S2000 and don't know what to choose? For some reason this whole thing isn't adding up. You must go through cars quick since you already have an 05 and now getting an 06. As for the S2000 going out of style, not for me. I still enjoy mine.

The RSX and S2000 are two differant types of cars. If you want 4 seats, a decent sized trunk, front wheel drive, a more daily driver friendly car, go for the RSX. You already know what the S2000 has to offer so I'll leave that out.

In my opinion i do not believe the s2000 is going out of style. I still have ppl coming up to me asking what kind of car it is. As for the top, at least its retractable, the new soltice's and sky's are a manual top. This car isn't made to be a luxury car with every option, if it had all these extra options wouldn't the car be a lot heavier? I love the car for what it is so ultimately it depends on what you need the car for. If you're lookin strictly for style, get the s2000.. cmon its drop top man!! oh ya and burnouts are wayy more fun with RWD

It adds up.

He doesn't own a 2005. Otherwise, he wouldn't be asking this question. When he signed up he either planned on buying one soon, so listed it in advance, or he simply wanted it to say "owner" instead of "enthusiast".

If I'm wrong, I'd be surprised.
