2006 S2000 or 2006 RSX Type S

I whole-heartedly agree with my Tampa brother.....if this guy was an owner he wouldn't be asking that question
Do I take my S2000 being out of warranty in a little over a year into consideration? I do not want to have to pay to replace the clutch in this thing! Given, the clutch should last because i do not drive it too hard....
Do you forsee the RSX's holding value a little bit more due to them being discontinued?
if you're looking into practicality and you're thinking of switching out of an s2k for that reason, why are you considering another s2k?
To answer your question, rsx has a ton of aftermarket support that the s2k will never even touch. On top of that, the k20 motors are extremely mod friendly. With intake, race header, and hondata reflash, the rsx-s will eat an s2k with same mods in a straight line. The s2k is pretty much fully tuned at the factory for one reason; because it's a true sports car with proper rwd and perfect weight distribution. The rsx is built on a civic platform and shares a LOT of parts with the civic. Simply put, you cannot compare these two cars. One is a highly tuned, high performance sports roadster with rwd,;....and the other is a econo sports hatch with fwd.. You be the judge...but it seems like you need practicality and rsx-s will give you that.

It's just so hard to think of not driving an S2K!
You are silly man... as everyone stated earlier, there is no comparison between a sport coupe and a sports car. If you truly have an S2000, you would never even think twice about such a preposterous decision. The cars are entirely different. I can think of no reason to downgrade (that's right, I said downgrade) to an RSX-S. When I traded my '02 S2k, my salesperson mentioned something once about getting me into "something else". I asked him what he meant, and then told him I am not interested in downgrading; the only other car that you would have that interests me in is an NSX. If you are getting the RSX, you are downgrading your fun and status. As far as the value- how can you compare a car that stickers around $21k or so to a car that stickers at $34k? Only you can decide practicality. I drive my S2k everyday. I figured because I don't move every two weeks, and I don't have kids, and many other reasons that I don't need enough room for 7 adults in my vehicle.

Will RSX's hold their value due to being discontinued?
If both RSX and S2000 discontinue, the RSX holds its value well due to its practicality and reliability, whereas the S holds its value due to its design (as in performance oriented) and reliability. Theyhave very different audiences.
I don't know much about RSX myself (as in if/when it's getting discountined). After all, it's an integra; Honda would definitely replace the Integra with something very similar.
I used to have a 02 RSX, wasn't a type S though.
I just bought a s2000 on saturday.
You can definitly feel so much more bumps in the RSX, as someone else has mentioned. The s2000 feels bumpy when it hits the bumps but the seats absorbs most of it. On my first test drive of s2000 i thought the car was smoother... but i notice now its the seats that are so much more comfortable.
an article i read a couple of months ago said that the RSX is ranked as one of the top cars that holds its resale value. As for trading in my car, i got 50% of its OTD price after 4 years and 3 months.
But I love the s2000. I would pick it. Going uphill there's no issues on 6th gear. RSX needs to downshift. only thing I miss from RSX was the huge slot for head unit, which i put navigation. S2k has a lot of blank space on the dash. Top Down for Life. <--- You don't get that with RSX.
