Hello out there.
Here's some short and sweet background on me:
I've wanted to get a car that I can use on both street and track for years. I finally decided to pull the trigger. After a lot of searching and seeking advice from others, I picked up my 2005 Silverstone S2000 Thursday of last week. I needed new tires so I bought a set of Yokohama Advans. I'm busily breaking those in. My Hard Dog roll bar came in today, so that's going in this weekend. Hired someone to do installation. Also awaiting Fujita cold air intake.
I don't know much mechanically, but I'm eager to learn. First track day is August 18th and I am looking excitedly and nervously forward to it.
I'm 34, married, and have a daughter.
Personal interests include golf, fitness, motorcycling and gun collecting.
Would appreciate any and all input anyone would think a newbie such as myself needs.
Thanks in advance!

I ride a Harley Street Glide these days (GREAT bike for longer trips), but I was into sport bikes for years. Honda VFR800 was my favorite. I had a BMW K1200s (fast, fast, fast), but the engineering on that bike was s***t so away it went. I also had a BMW R1100S, the boxer sport bike. Regretfully I never got an R6 or a Honda 650 or a Suzuki 1000.
Ride safe!
