Another S2000 in the family! (mine)
Hi there!
A few weeks ago, my girlfriend purchased an '07 LGP S2000 and quickly joined S2ki.
As of yesterday, I sold off my car in favor of something a little more nimble and easier on the wallet: a Sandstone Grey (I think...) '01 S2000. I don't buy new cars, and this little bugger was sitting on the corner at the end of my street...
So we're an S2000 family. His and Hers. For some reason my cars always end up being some variation of silver, hers blue, and our S2k's are no different.
I miss my turbo power, but I don't miss watching the gas gauge drop like a stone. The better handling, drop top, and better sound system (aftermarket) make up for the absence of turbo whine. Someday maybe I'll charge this engine, but for now I'm having plenty of fun just tooling around town.
There is a minor amount of work that needs to be done: replace soft top (plastic window fogged and vinyl was cut and patched) and replace the passenger marker light, but the biggie for me is to get rid of the play dough smell (I'm confused as well).
Every time I hop behind the wheel and break the back end loose, I get a huge smile on my face. As long as this car ends up being as reliable as my previous Hondas, I'll be a very happy man.
Woo!

Welcome to the site... now this could become a problem (I'll drive; no I'll drive), who wants to be a passenger when you can take the wheel
Turbo or No Turbo, you are in for a great time. Enjoy.
