Just curious if anyone's scored any insanely good deals lately on a used S2000? It would seem like w/ the economy being headed downward, dealers would be starting to get desperate. I know the used car dealerships I drive past daily have been significantly reducing inventory.

I'm obviously looked to buy a used S2000 soon and obviously want to get the best deal possible. However, maybe the bottom hasn't dropped out quite yet and I should wait...not sure.

 

I'm also in the market for a used S2000. I've noticed that dealers are dropping their prices, but it's also harder to get approved for loans because of the banking situation. I would say that in the winter you'll be able to get the best deals. I'm waiting for the end of every month to go look, in case you don't know dealers are much more likely to make a deal at the end of the month.

You're talking about them brand new I guess. I think the OP was referring to them being a few years old. I was relating more to MY04-MY05's being $20,000 or under.

 

I just got a 2005 S2000 for $4000 under KBB from a dealer.

 

yeah, sorry I was talking new. I see 05 w/ around 30k miles go for 19-20 grand. There's an 04 near me with 30k miles on it for 18,5k.

 

Depends on where you live. I can see dealers in snow-ridden states wanting to move those around this time of year. I think that's why I got my 2005 for such a good price.

 

There are a few '07's still on local lots that have had birthdays already. They are willing to go close to triplenet on a few of them. One particular yellow car is yelling at me that it REALLY wants a home in my garage... I normally never buy a new one but with them running close to 1 year old used prices...

 

I paid $13500 for my silverstone metallic convertible 2005 with 44k miles on it.

 

Any info on where you guys are finding these cars? Are you just going to local dealers, or finding them online?

Some of those prices your getting them for are close to $10000 less then what it would cost here.
