HI Everyone,

I'm currently in the process of purchasing a '57 S2000 from Stratstone Jaguar, everything is agreed in principle and its just a case of signing the paperwork later in the week.

The issue I am querying is despite the car being a '57 reg, the panel with the VIN number etc on states the type as AP1. Having researched extensively I cant seem to see a circumstance of an AP1 existing after 2004.

Could someone help me out on this to give some clarification on why this is the case?

Having searched extensively and including the wiki it doesnt seem to state that all UK cars are Ap1. Managed to find that in a forum discussing lightweight clutches. Thanks anyway
