Back from the dead
The reason why this is my second S2000 is because I want to keep this car. The first S I bought new in 2008, I did not take the best care of. I’m not trying to turn these parts for a profit. I want to enjoy the car without abusing it and I’d like to preserve it for years to come. I used to have an SVO Mustang that I let fall apart and if Ford hadn’t of discontinued all the parts, I would have kept it on the road easily. Any parts i accrue for the S is simply to make sure I have no troubles down the road as I enjoy it. Albeit, someone else is making a whole lot of money off me when i buy NOS discontinued parts, but good for them.
Cheers
I obtained unique parts to my "69 TR6, but paid reasonable prices for the stuff. In old or collector cars there are certain parts that become more valuable, especially when it's offered for only one year. Those prices generally reflect that, unless you get lucky and the seller doesn't know what he has....some with motorcycles. I have a BMW R80 G/S which the rear wheel hub or complete wheel is unique to only two models and a run of 7 years...I now have three rear wheels one was NOS...but didn't have to pay a ridiculous amount for it...Just a matter of keeping your eyes open and eventually unique stuff turns up.

Crazy how quickly the supply for OEM AP2 lips dried up...Price is basically on par with AP1 OEM lips now.
You can't put a price on OEM fitment. All of these naysayers don't get it. The amount of bodywork needed to get a poly lip to fit somewhat close to OEM is staggering. By the time you've gotten a rep lip fully finished you might as well have just spent a little extra money and gone OEM. I bought myself a BNIB OEM AP1 lip from Europe in silver for around $800...Don't regret it one bit; these cars look naked up front, and the OEM lips really set them off. Just picked up a used OEM lip in NFR with a small crack in it for $400 that I'm going to have repaired. Any time an OEM lip pops up I'll be grabbing one. I'll feel comfortable if I have one on my car and atleast 2 in reserve.
Also, I haven't seen a rep lip yet that was supplied with PROPER mounting hardware. Instead you get a bunch of rivets, screws, and random brackets, and don't expect the "pre-drilled" holes to even come close to lining up either. Man, I should spend the money and have a company make an exact copy of my new oem lip (proper ABS, brackets, etc) , sell them for $400 a pop or so unpainted; they'd sell like hotcakes I'm sure.

Lips are typically rubber and mounted underneath any bumper or spoiler. I think you can make one with plastic garden edging.
