back in the game!
i know you all have been desperately waiting for my next update.... so here it is!
been enjoying the shit out of the car. regular track days and top down cruises. i'm at about 24,500 miles on the odometer so i've put almost 10k miles on it since i bought it just over a year ago. i hate to see the miles ticking up but cars are meant for driving and this one should last me a long time.
had an awesome day on the new thunderhill expansion! it's a lower speed and more technical track, suits the S2000 very well. it was also my girlfriend's first time riding along. she was an amazingly enthusiastic yet calm passenger. she can't wait to go out again.

also picked up a set of used Advan RZ wheels from a friend. 17x9 in the rear and 17x8.5 in the front, +45 all around. slapped some Nitto NT-05 on them which i've run before and really like. went up one size in the rear to 255 and stuck to 225 in the front. i like the more classic staggered look. the bronze is growing on me...

also added a J's Racing 60RS single exhaust. tunnels at 9k RPM are better than ever! i wrote up a full review which you can see here.

anyway, that's the news. hope you all are enjoying your car as much as i am!

glamour shot with hardtop:

also picked up this AP2 front bumper on the cheap:

hoping to get it refinished soon. i ordered a new grill and tow hook cover from majestic honda. the grill showed up like this:

more waves than a tsunami! they crammed it in a box that was too short and it got all bent out of shape. i called them up and they were actually very nice about and shipped another one right away.

well, got the replacement grill from majestic honda today. it was packed in the same box and looked the same as the first one. i even told them specifically that it needed a longer box. no idea who is in charge over there?! gonna have to call them again tomorrow.
also got this OEM lip:

hoping everything comes together the way i'm envisioning it....

i still have moments when i feel slightly bad about modding up what was otherwise an extremely pristine car... but that goes away quickly.
bumper is all painted. body shop used the tow hook cover from my current bumper to match the paint. still a little nervous that it's not an exact match but i'll see when i install the bumper. red is a tough color.
also, finally got some center caps. the rear ones are tall to cover that big 'ol axle nut. the fronts are flatter. they are actually nice quality caps and came with some JDM rubber cement so they can't be easily pulled off.

been super busy but finally got the AP2 bumper assembled and installed. trimmed the bumper support and it fits great, paint match is pretty good as well. love the look with no emblem and license plate holes. here's a teaser:

next up is test fitting the front lip.

Then I herniated a disk in my lower back and disappeared from life for a while...............
Then someone rear ended me. Just sitting at a red light. The guy behind me in his big, stupid truck decided it was time to go. WTF?!

Trunk replaced, body pulled, bumper refinished. The good news is that... yeah, no good news.
Then I sold my OEM hardtop. It looks amazing but I truly prefer top down driving.
Then I got a daily driver. 2010 Lexus LS 460 with only 22k miles on it. Such a nice ride. How did I ever live without a heated steering wheel?!

Then I got some gold RPF1. Common wheels, I know. But a good classic and the red/gold combo looks darn sweet.
Can't lie, I also miss my Advan RZ a little bit.

Then I sold the wheels.
But hey, I picked up a set of vintage Volk CE28N. Ordered a set of Nitto NT05 which should be here next week. Time to get back on the track.

Oh, I also did this:

So that's the last few years in a nut shell. Hope to be on the up and up from here!
