Default Bought not built ap1...

Hi guys new to the s2ks but not to hondas. Had a miata for a few years that got rear ended by a drunk driver recently and wound up picking up an s2000. Had these big stupid wheels on it when I got it that I quickly traded for some stock ones. It's got a built motor in it that is in need of a tune... stuck in Hawaii so that's a bit tough and gonna probably wind up having to figure that out myself. Anyway it's a great car and I'm happy to be part of this new community.

No way to "tune" this car unless you invest in an aftermarket or piggy-back ECU.

Not sure if HI has an emissions check. Some (most?) aftermarket ECUs do not have an OBD2 port and consequently won't pass smog testing.

No real emissions here, so that's not a worry but I'm pretty set on the k-pro or the doctrinics ecu both of these use k20 Ecus and are emissions friendly.

You won't be able to send PM's for a short time (I want to say 2 weeks but I may not be remembering that correctly). If you purchase a membership I believe that restriction is lifted. It was placed on new members due to scammers making new accounts and pming people to scam them. Also deters spammers. Welcome!

^ Correct. Welcome! There are a few tuners out there that will e-tune, so getting a proper tune might not be that big of a challenge after all. Good luck!
