The buzz you are referring to, I'm assuming on decelleration, is coming from the clutch. It's common on MY00 S2000s. There was a TSB issued for it, which means its documented by Honda, however its not really a problem. There is no loss of performance, and no harm is being done to the car. The clutch isn't going to break.. just make a lot of noise. The only reason to replace the clutch is if you can't stand the noise.

So if I do replace the clutch the noise would go away.

If the noise is in fact clutch buzz, yes it would go away. I think the noise is pretty unmistakable and eminates from behind the radio. Like I stated before however, no harm is being done.

i think the noise depends on whether you are top up or top down...
i never hear the noise in my '00 causes the top is almost never up.
on the very rare times that it is up, i do hear the noise.
but then, my spugen exhaust pretty much takes care of any noises!!

i suggest that you take the car to your honda dealer and ask them to check it out and especially check to see if the tsbs have been done (spark plug tsb and seat belt tsb are prob the most important ones).

my drivers side window regulator has been out for several years now, so it doesnt drop by a single touch. i have to operate it like the passenger window (hold the button down)- not a big deal to me, but it was a problem on the early model years (again, only if it bothers you).

This looks almost like a set up for a "Whos on first" ramble..

On the home page of this website go to the "Under the Hood" section. It lists the 5 "problems." (None of them affects performance only personal preference.)
