Buying a 2000 s
Shakes, I'm going to give you my professional opinion. Before you even think of spending a penny on an S2000 you need to get educated (talk to people that own S2ks) don't ask the dealership people, they will sell you the car. I've made the mistake of purchasing my S2K without prior knowledge about the car and I'm regretting my decision. First of all I own an AP1:year 2000 that's the first no no. It has a plastic rear window. The US department of transportation should not allow a 35K dollar with a plastic window on the road, this is an insult!. Second of all and this is my favorite. Even though you are driving a Honda the maintainance is not cheap, it's like driving a Honda Civic with the maintainance of a Porsche. when I purchased my S2K I said well this is a Honda, if a turbo kit for a Civic cost about $2500, I can turbo an S2K for about $3500 (a little more.) Boy was I wrong, it costs about 7000+ to turbo an S2K that's about 3 times the price of a Civic and the funny thing about it is that deep inside an S2K still a Honda.
Having said all of that, I would not drive any other car, I love my S2K
