Hi guys, I've stragled over here from e46fanatics.com and was wondering what you guys had to say. I'm looking at getting a 330ci or a S2000. I'm 18 so I don't have kids or anything to worry about. The space is sort of lacking so I was wondering if the fun of this car made up for it. Let me know what you guys honestly think cause I made the switch from Honda to BMW and I swore I'd never drive anything but these cars. So, what do I get?

The S2000's small space, good handling, and nice acceleration or the BMW's prestige, more space and nice handling as well?

S2000 0-60 = 5.5
330ci 0-60 = 6.1

I dont see how a Cheap a$$ little 325 has ANY prestige over an Audi S4 or a S2000. The S2000 imo is more fun to drive due to its superior handling feel. Th S4 has the grunt though. Now if you were comparing M3 vs S2000 it would be an entirely different story.

The bottom barrel 325 would get spanked in ANY test accept amount of passengers and trunk space compred to an S2000. Give me a break.

 

Did you read the whole thing? I no longer would get a 325ci. LOL, i test drove one and it made me bored. The 330ci is what I'm asking about... not a 325.

PS ap2's arent slower than ap1's

BMW 330's have good handling but it isnt a sports car. Are you after the sports car experience or do you just want a sports coupe? Big difference in driving feel and comfort.

if you're 18 and want a fun/unpractical car, get the s2000. it's awesome. get the bmw when you get older and want 4 seats and a trunk.

ap2 = 04+

When they went from a 2.0 to a 2.2 and from 9000 to 8200?

They're the same exact speed?

 

2.2 or 2.0 have pretty much the same performance. The Ap2 will be better for a daily driver since it has 10% more power under 6000 rpms (before vtec). You will only notice the 9000 rpms in 1st gear. After that they spend about the same amount of rpms before redline between shifts.

For trunk space get out and go to a Honda dealership to check it out. It looks small but you would be surprised to see how much crap you can fit in.

For ownership experience you cant beat the S2k crowd. We dont have the BMW snob appeal though.

 

You would think that wouldn't you. I thought the same until I met them. They are the most gracious and coolest people I've ever hung out with. The only "snobby" ones are the old people. They ARE dicks. Besides that most of my closest friends drive Bimmers. Never met anyone nicer...(maybe that will change )
