What's ap1 and ap2?

BTW, incase you care, my next car is the M3. When the new model comes out(e92's) I'm gunna buy the e46 one (because the old ones will drop in price)
I don't think the price of the E46 M3 will go down that drastically when the E92 M3's come out that have a decent amount of mileage.

I know a low mileage 2001 M3 will still command a price of low to mid 30's right now so figure the E92 M3 comes out next year it'll drop to like maybe MAYBE mid 20's plus it's a lot of money just for regular maintanence as well as high insurance.

Anyway back to your main question 330ci (which I highly doubt you can find a good one for around 20k) or S2000 it depends on you.
The BMW Pros: Very comfy, reliable, you can drive it all year around (I drive the M3 in blizzards so don't tell me you can't), awesome customer service at the dealership, great daily driver
Cons: expensive to maintain if something breaks, very hard to DIY, and doesn't stand out
S2000 Pros: Top down for the summer, hid's standard, 6 speed, most hp per liter from an n/a car, responds like its an extension of yourself, fairly cheap to maintain, not that common
Cons: one of the worst audio systems ever, soft top can be slashes, 2 seater, road noise, cruises at a fairly high rpm on the highway, dealerships don't care about you

I'd say for practicality its BMW for the win but for fun its no doubt the S2000

The audi is just a toss up becuase it was so fun to drive(more so than the s2000)

YOU'RE ****ING KIDDING ME RIGHT.... Get w/e but NOT an S2000. Peace

edit: New help. Everything has been great and I really appreciate all your input. So what do you guys think of this

s2000 or 330ci...

and I just drove an s2000 tonight and it is REALLY small. I didn't get to test the handling and it wasn't all that fast. The 00-02's are faster than the 04's

I'm really 85% 330ci right now so should I stay that way. I would ABSOLUTELY love the s2000 but I think it's just too small for me

ALSO, to Slow ZHP. By chance if I did happen to find a car I liked in Miami could you test it out and get it checked by one of your trusted mechanics. I would pay you for your time and any other expenses like gas and what not (obviously you wouldnt have to drive it up to me or something) just to look at one and get it checked....

Yep DON'T BUY THE S2000

wow I just read the post's on the BMW forum.. this is what our friend has to say

"UPDATE

Insurance is a non-issue because this car will be registered for my mom and i'll be considered a "second driver". We have 3 cars, but only 2 are insured by our family. One is a company vehicle making this car insured by a 43 year old woman... not a 18 year old kid (we've already looked into this)

Speed You all are going to hate me and ban me from these forums but I am too irresponsible to own this car. I've driven it for one day (took it home for the night) and went 110+ almost spun out (tires are non existant, metal showing) and raced two cars. (BTW this was all at 11 pm on 8 lane DEAD EMPTY roads, 4 on both sides, so I'm not that irresponsible yet...) I drive it WAY to reckless and i know I actually and truthfully can't control myself, which is very sad...

This is not my personallity and I'm disapointed in myself for thinking this but I can't get anymore tickets and can't get in trouble for street racing. The thing I know about this car is it will get me into WAY to much trouble. I personally can say I am not a responsible enough person and do not need a car this fast. I seriously have never made a decision like this in my life (guess im getting old) but I don't want to endager innocent people from my actions. (which sadly, i know i would). I think I am actually more worried about the tickets though... If I get one more (i've gotten two in two years for speeding) my dad takes away my insurance payments, so I would be screwed. I CANNOT get another ticket or I AM DONE FOR GOOD!

So, with this being said. I'm going to have to go with a 325ci or 330ci until I can trust myself. All I did all night was HAUL so much damn ass that I couldn't even stop myself. I redlined every gear and was just plain stupid. I'm making my first decision like this and I know you all will flame me but I seriously CANNOT be trusted in a car like this. Especially carrying my girlfriend around with me, I couldn't live if I wrecked and killed her or something....

I'm sorry I am being so mature and grown up about this but I'm scared to hurt someone else with my non-existant will power. I'm seriously too stupid to drive this. I KNOW 100% I will get too many tickets, I just can't trust my self. I really love the car and I seriously still want one but I know I'll get arrested. I seriously KNOW I will.

I'm so ashamed... I'm sorry guys, I'll go kill myself now...

and for those of you B!tching about stuff like m3 vs. s2000 in looks. I've gotten stared at more today in this car than I ever have in anything else. (ever)"

Yeah... pls don't get an s2k.. insurance is high enough as it is..

Ya, I posted it in here as well...

If I get another ticket I'm fukced. I can't get this car now. I have to wait at least till I move this summer. I never said anything wrong about the s2000's so i don't know what your deal is. I like it more than the BMW. Can you not read what I wrote above? All I did was compliment it's power so you might wanna re-read that.

btw, here's the link in the s2k forums....

You guys obviously see me in a different light than that of which I trully am

ONE: I'm not quite sure why you think I'm spoiled, I'm buying the car.

TWO: I absolutly LOVE the S2000 but I will get too many tickets and then won't EVER have the car.

THREE: Once one gangs up they all do... Don't really see what I did to piss you guys off.

FOUR: I'll just leave, I had a Honda once and everyone was always real cool so I considered it again. This actually made me think twice about owning one in the future. Ya, how g@y of me to take responsibility like this, I'm such a moron, kill me....

Just so you know, this was before I got to bring it home.(the s2000) I test drove it with a woman who wouldn't let me go over 50 in a 50 and wouldnt let me even hit 7k rpm. SHE WAS FREAKING OUT. The s4 i got to maul. Now that i've driven the s2000 for this long i really don't even wanna give it back

I don't get the reasoning behind 4. Why do other people affect your decision?

I plan on owning a ferrari one day because its been my dream car since the beginning of time, I wouldn't care if every ferrari owner on the face of the planet was a jerk I'd still get one because I want one not because of other peoples opinions or magazine times.

Because I enjoy meets with fellow car owners and I don't wanna be surrounded by RUDE people like this. Some where helpful yes, and I'm VERY thankful. I absolutly love the car and seriously want it 10x's more than the 330ci but I don't get why everyone thinks i'm out to make fun of their cars or something. Everyone just had to be so damn rude about it.
