Couldn't Stay Away from the S2K
Those of us who purchased one of these cars more than a year ago might as well throw the prices we paid out the window as they simply are no longer relevant to today's S2000 prices. Speaking with a rep from Hagerty I came to learn that values for classic/collector/enthusiast cars across the board are way up since the pandemic hit. In effect, that $200 difference likely represents more than a $2,000 difference today.
Good on you @Schneck , I wish you the best of luck with your build. I agree with Deckoz, this is going to be good and you seem like the right guy for the job.

That's good news! But the cost to take the keys from my cold lifeless grip is the same. Thankfully I'm warm blooded, so the cold lifeless grip isn't likely to be very soon.
your story is very similar to mine, although I did hang onto my first s2000 longer, it only took the extent of winter to have that sellers remorse hit.
i bought a corvette that spring and although I like having it and won't sell it, the search was immediate for another s2000 and there were many ducks not in a row to follow
these cars are impossible to stay away from. physically maybe, mentally no. i've owned cars with twice the horsepower but nothing beats the raw nature of this foreign roadster
