The CR has no soft top. It is designed for the track and the soft top would add extra weight. I would also recommend just getting a beater for the winter. You could find something that doesn't cost much more than a hardtop and would get better gas mileage.

the CR doesn't come with a folding soft top?
Nope. No room for the soft top to drop since there are stiffening cross pieces there.

The money you save? Have any of you seen the prices of some of the CR's for sale right now. They are insanely cheap!!! Thousands under MSRP.

whyy get a CR.. All you getting is the interior and the tires o and a front lip!!!

Those BRIDGESTONE isn't worth it!! WHY WOUld U wANT A PERMANENT HARD TOP! defeat the purpose of having convertible!.. Horse power is the same. Same suspension same everything!

Get a regular convertible and just add on a front lip will look better!!!!

YOu can always add a hard top and u can remove it.

HOW DO I KNOw ALL OF THIs! my brother is the manager of David mcdavid honda!
Ya, I am not to sure where you got your information from either. The hard top deffinately comes off, the suspension is stiff, etc.

i am sorry my information may be incorrect ! when i went to teh dealer to look at a s2k i was interested in the cr but when i heard the manager (my brother) said its not worth it because there is no soft top and etc etc. and all you getting is the tires a front lip and a cleaner interior i just went to basic one and picked it up! 2 of them! I test drive the cr and it felt just like the regular one. Just better traction! maybe i am the one who didnt get the information right! I apologize for that

thanks for the info guys...

i've decided to go with the base s2k as i really want a convertible. my friend who works at honda was able to get me a possible lease price of $475 a month for 36 months with no money down. is that a good deal?

from what i calculated it seems to be a great deal but what do you guys think? what is the average price people are paying monthly on leases?

Dealers often don't know what they're talking about...The suspension on the CR is a lot stiffer than the regular. If you're too lazy to mod, and plan to track, go with the CR. Otherwise, regular.

I was basing that off of Honda's MSRP. I didn't realize the CR's were going for thousands under MSRP. I can't see them being cheaper than the regular S and if they are then it would indeed be a tough call. Personally I don't like the CR much other than the hardtop and lip, but that's me.
