Default Current WRX owner, interested in a s2k

Guys i'm new to this forum and i've been lurking around for a week or so. I currently have a 2002 wrx protuned stage 2. I've gotten tired of it and i want something with more potential/sportier. I've looked into an STi(of course), 350z, and your beloved s2000. I havent test driven an s2000 yet, but i will once the weather gets better.

even though i havent test driven one yet i'm leaning towards the s2k. If i get one i plan on turbocharging soon after I get used to driving it N/A. The only thing is that i'm stuck between the 04-05 s2k and the 03.

The added displacement of the ap2 attracts me a lot but the price of the 03 is also a plus.

I just want to know what you guys think. if i have the money should i just go with the ap2 or should i get a ap1 and spend the money on more mods.

there are also other things to consider when choosing ap1 or ap2 aside from the engine.

imo - the ap2 has a much nicer front and rear end ... LED tails ... also standard 17s vs 16s

I was in your position a little over a month ago and decided to go with the ap2

i scooped up a 05 with 12k miles .. honda certified with lojack for 21k OTD .. so good deals are out there

good luck

i was in your position awhile back... and decided to go with the ap1... its cheaper... better redline.. and all the money u save with going with an ap1 over an ap2 u can use to hook the s2k up

If cosmetics are your thing the AP2 has a updated look, but the 9k redline of the AP1 make have you sold. =)

ap1 more aggressive ap2 is a little toned down. i like them both but i chose an ap1 so i had xtra money for mods and i didn't need the 17 inch honda wheels i can choose my own

I am a previous stage 4 WRX and EVO 9 RS owner and I would have to say that the S2000 takes the cake for the funnest car. Definitely not the fastest compared to the WRX and the Evo but it's just an entirely different driving experience. Pic of old WRX
