Decision time...need some advice
Hi everyone,
I'm hoping tomorrow I enter the s2000 club. I am negotiating on a 2006 s2000 with 57k miles. It is stock, has new tires, silverstone color with red/black interior. Some normal wear and tear for a 5 year old car, and a small tear on the top (where every other convertible top seems to tear. I have a couple questions.
1). What would be a good price for this car?
2). What should I look for on the car that would raise any red flags?
3). The small tear is about 1 inch long on the roof, should I be worried? What would it cost to fix it?
Your guys opinions would really help. Thank you!
Wes

Price is all up to you but i would think that 17k is about the highest i would go on that car. The roof is definitely something to worry about. Once a tear starts, it means there are other weak spots that are going to form. A new top is usually 1000 bucks at least. i would use this to talk the price down a little bit. I would also recommend a compression test to see if the motor is running correctly. Take your time, plenty of s2000s are on the market right now. Your dream car is out there
