Drove a CR Friday night. Now I've gotta have one!

Yeah I joined a long time ago, but I've been focusing most of my car hobby attention on the Z06. I hear ya on the good deal part... that's one of the reasons for my enthusiasm. The AB one I drove Friday night had 912 miles on it, was CPO & mint for 27,990. If it was GPW I would've bought it right then, but I was on the fence about it and a guy from Houston bought it the next day. I'm getting a similar deal on this one. Thanks for mentioning it though. I see some dealers are still asking MSRP.
the z06 was always a compromise. it has incredible power and road holding ability. however, those stupid seats are obviously made for fat people, and that huge steering wheel is simply ridiculous (though the newer z's have nicer ones).
there is no compromising in the s2k. everything is made with two things in mind--you and the road. you're gonna love it.

The seats in the Z06 are a little too comfy... like conversion van comfy. I have a 33" waist and I feel like I'm sitting on a couch lol I did the free bolster mod to the driver's seat and it much tighter now. I've spent the last 7 years undoing all of its compromises... it's just about right for me now.
The S2K is hardcore right from the factory which is what I like. I put 5 hours in the driver's seat getting her home from Atlanta and no complaints from me. I'm really looking forward to autoxing it!

good luck to you and your new baby. hope your z doesn't get jealous of all the attention that little one is getting!
