hi guys, well i just had a few general questions about the s2000 since im going to be picking up a car in a short while. Like a lot of people coming by here im having a problem deciding between the s2k and 350z. After reading a lot of the posts already up i just had a couple questions since i already asked a few before

well my questions are all concerning the soft top. If someone (for God knows why) came and decided to puncture it or slash it how will we go about fixing it? How much would it cost? and if it were a small slit, could we just patch it up somehow since if i get the s2k im planning on getting the hardtop for all season use besides summer

And a nother question concerning the soft top. Is it hard cleaning it? For example bird droppings and what not? Also, since i live in Canada if i DO decide not to buy a hardtop and stick with the soft top, is it hard to clean off the salt water that may splash and leave stains (is this even a problem?)?

no to all your cleaning questions. I live in indiana and we get our good share of salt here in winter and all i've ever done is spray it off with water. If you do decide to clean it keep in mind its not a cloth top and there are special cleaning solutions for it.

 

You can patch the top with some vinyl patch, but a new top is available from your dealer, and it's something like $1500 installed.
