A few questions
edit***
i dont know if this is the right section for these questions so sorry if its not
Well I have been reading on here for quite some time and searching but I did'nt find an answer to all of my questions so I am going to ask them. First of all what is up with the upgarded gears? 4.44 4.56 4.77??? What are they for? better drag times, better highway driving or what!? Also what is each gear better for?
Also I have a question which is faster an ap1 or ap2? Some people say ap1 becuase 9k redline but some say ap2 because of 2.2 and different gearing? I have read both so I am confused.
Last question is what is more Reliable / Proven a supercharger or turbo upgrade? and what kit is the most effective?
Thanks for any info, and i did search on all of these topics and didnt find exactly what I was looking for
so please dont flame.

type in "gears" in the search field in "s2000 talk". you'll find enough threads to read to last you the whole day.
from what i've read, going head to head, there is not much of a difference b/w ap1 and ap2. ap1's will launch more with the 9k rev and ap2's will catch up with the higher tq. someone correct me if im wrong. i highly doubt it's something really noticeable going stock for stock.
most people would probably say superchargers are safer but then again, an engine that is not tuned correctly can be messed up either way. the superchargers i know of are pretty much plug and play. comptech doesnt make them anymore so vortech holds the reign for now.

You should read the various FAQs in the different forums here - especially Introductions - but basically, gears effect the "pull" of the car by changing the ratios to move the car with more urgency, S2000s are not really good drag cars, AP2s are considered more complete cars, while AP1s are considered more raw, and AP2s aren't faster to any degree that is really worth bragging about.
If you want to FI an S2000, I'd get an AP1, gears, and a super charger.

You will have a LONG debate about which on is faster, AP1 or AP2.
Gears help you get through the lower revs into VTEC quicker.
Reliability of a turbo depends A LOT on the tune. The SC'ers are basically bolt in and go. The turbo will get you more power, but will probably cost more.
