Finally Got One
Finally pulled the trigger and bought an AP2. I’ve been dreaming about this car since before I could drive and I can’t begin to describe how happy I am to finally have one. I told myself before I bought it that I’d only drive it a certain amount of miles each year in order to keep the miles low for as long as possible. I now realize that was stupid and theres no way I can do that because its way too fun to drive. I’m going to try to stick to using only oem parts for now at least. I’m really happy with the car just the way it is. But anything I do end up doing it to the car I look forward to sharing it with you guys.
Bought the car about a month ago with 55k. So far here’s what I’ve done:
new rotors and pads all around
differential fluid repaced
brake fluid replaced
tranny fluid replaced
coolant replaced
power steering fluid replaced
Is there any other preventative maintenance you guys would recommend? I’m going this weekend to get a valve adjustment.

Nevermind I see now. The ps is electric not hydraulic. Luckily I have my receipt and I had it done at the dealership. Guy is a scumbag for charging me for it but it’s my own fault for not knowing ahead of time. Glad I managed to make myself look like an idiot in my first post.

Yeah I feel like an idiot. I listed off every fluid I could think of and the guy said “what about the power steering” and I said sure might as well. He got me good but I’m going to go get my money back so I dont really care too much.

Don't feel like a fool. Whoever worked on your car ever see a S2000 before?
But the "power steering fluid" is making me nervous:
Was a genuine S2000 specific oil filter (15400-PCX-004) installed and torqued? Even if it's Honda Blue it could be very wrong.
Was the differential filled with GL-5 Hypoid gear oil? Or something else. Wrong gear oil will garbage your differential.
10W-30 engine oil?
Honda Manual Transmission Oil (MTF)?
Grab your cell phone and photograph and post a copy of the itemized bill showing what "fluids" went into the car and we can review it.

Highly recommend a Gen-X TCT from Billman. Wait two weeks to unlock PM ability on this forum and then PM him here for instructions on how to aquire one from him. Its something that you do once and never have to worry about ever again. Especially because this is a failure point in our cars.
I'd also check the Master Clutch Cylinder for leaks as thats a common fail point as well.
