Default First S2000

Hello,
I have bought a 2000 model year S2000 (Silvertone, Black Leather, 36K miles)

Positives - Acceleration - knowing that the chav at the lights who want to take you on has very little chance!, Handling, not having that 'look at me in my flash car'boast that some BMW, Porshe, Audi's have.

Negatives - Clutch Buzz, roof wearing at the usual point behind drivers shoulder, fuel consumption (result of heavy right foot), I am not the driver I should be when it gets wet. The relay for the wipers is in the car and audiable....how sad is that.

Bonus - The garage I bought it from gave me a cheque for

It might be possible for you to change the top on your own, but a lot of work has to be gone through. Dealerships charge around USD$800-1000 in labor to replace the top, and that's without the cost for the top itself.

Sam,

Congrats on your purchase!

Sounds like normal stuff for MY00. Yes, there's lots of good info around the site. Check the FAQ threads here, in S2000 Talk, and in under the hood for best information.

Oh, also, just a warning to keep you eye on oil consumption at every fill up. The S does burn oil!

Enjoy and drive safe.
Remember to park it when it rains/snows.

^ Ignore that man. You ain't lived until you've driven, top down, through a snow storm.
