Default Formerly Miata owner turned S2K owner

Hello everyone, I realized I started posting on other places, and didn't introduce myself.

I sold my 94 Miata last week, and picked up a 2004 S2K with 80k miles three days ago.

My friends have always wanted me to upgrade to a Miata because they say I already "max out" the Miata's potential, but the real reason I got pushed over the edge was
simply because my Miata's body was in shambles. I didn't want to keep showing up to my new job like that so I had to find a clean car and here I am

Welcome. Many miata transplants here, myself included. How are you finding your S?

well. Currently undriveable due to a fuel leak spraying fuel all over the place, waiting for dealer to fix it, but when it was driving I loved it

Welcome!

I expect you will find a lot of Miata folks here too. While I still say they are not as good looking ... they are a great platform! But I still like the S better :P

I also replaced my Miata with an S2000.

But I don't track/autox at all. As a street driven car, the S is just so much nicer than the NA/NB Miatas, IMO.

yeah I don't track either, the only place I really go to test new performance mods is clinton road, there's a bunch of hairpins and corners that basically feel like you're at a track lol

Thank you!
Honestly if the body of the Miata wasn't in shambles I would definitely have kept it. I had a 94 with 99 head, and Mazdaspeed transmission. Also braced it with the Flyin' Miata butterfly brace, and Hard Dog roll bar.
It honestly felt just like my current S2000 overall just much slower, but I'm confident in terms of corner entry speeds I'd easily keep up with an S2000, just wouldn't be able to exit nearly as fast.
Overall I still love the way the NA Miata looks, and I'll probably get another one down the line (hopefully if I can find a clean example).
