Default From FR-S to s2000

Hi everybody!

My names Billy and I'll be a new owner pretty soon here. (Week or two) I just sold my FR-S and I've been looking around for some potentials that have caught my eye. Definitely looking at AP2 only.

Anyways, I'm from the Seattle-Tacoma area so if you're in the area and you're in a s2k i'll definitely be giving a friendly wave. The FR-S/BRZ community was really good about waving back and I hope you guys are too .

Here are the three i've been looking at.

2006 $23,995, 47k miles

2005 $18,851, 92k miles

2005 $14,995, 76k miles

All 3 have their pros/cons,
The first one, fits everything on my wish list, but most expensive
The second one, almost everything, a little less
The third one, a little bit of a project to restore it back to normal, but incredibly good price.

I would love for your guys's suggestions. And if anyone in here has a carfax account I would greatly appreciate it if they could get me the carfax on the last car

Anyways, I've always been a fan of keeping a car exactly how it came off the showroom, but with a older car like an s2000 I think I might start modding, so you all can expect a build thread soon!

Thanks guys! All comments are greatly appreciated.

Should go for the 3rd one. The money that you would spend on the other two can be used towards your new ride

The first one and the last one look like they have been modified a little bit here and there.

The red one is unmolested.

It all depends what you want to do with the car. If leaving stock then get the Red 2005. If modifying, go with the 2006 since it does open some more options up on the engine management end.

First one checks out. Red and silver have both been in major rear end wrecks.

I'm looking at the Red one's carfax and it says that the airblags didn't deploy. I thought that this implied that it wasnt major?

My FR-S was involved in an accident but all that happened was some slight cosmetic damage to the rear-bumper, and it says the same exact thing when I carfax it.

Is there a way to distinguish between a major accident/minor accident in the history report on the carfax? I always thought it was by whether they say airblags deployed and vice versa

Autocheck/etc will usually state minor if it's nothing bad. Carfax doesn't even report the 2nd accident on the red one so its hard to take what Carfax says as fact.

Why the quick change? Didn't the FRS only come out a couple years ago?

Just wasn't me. For the most part everything I wanted to do to it (Rocketbunny/Turbo/Etc) was way out of my budget. I just wasn't happy with what I had (as picky as that sounds) and just wanted a car I can work on for a better price and still make me happy, aka the s2000 and with the extra money i'll be getting a Harley Iron 883
