Starting next year I'm going to start putting money into my car. Should I do suspension first or hp.. I'm kinda new at this car thing

To be honest, S2K suspension is good from the factory aside from the ride height. If you're going to do suspension get a good quality coilover like KW, bilstein, tein etc

Why do anything?

You have a car developed by the F1 team inside the company that makes some of the most durable/reliable cars on the planet.

Unless you are a remarkable and developed driving talent you will not gain any advantage from any mods.

Down the road, 'mod" money will not only not be recovered but will detract from value. Unmodifed S2000s will be much more valued. ( with all due respect, I'd rather have a car engineered by Honda than by you).

I know that mods are a fun form of self expression for many and I don't object to that, but I feel I should remind people of how expensive they really can be.

Valid point but there are improvements to be made. Personally I enjoy doing supporting mods before jumping into power adders. Making sure it is mechanically sound and clean are my priorities.
