Talking French living in Holland

Hi,

Coming from a 2000 MX-5 1.8, I just made the jump in the S2000 world by buying in Germany a Red S2000 from 2003 with 25000 miles.

Car is like new, just has the wrong oil (0W30) and dead rear tires and is in the process of being registered with its Dutch number plates, should be done next week Friday. Will be my daily drive and go on the track 2-3 times a year

Very good forum, learned a lot lurking around, hope to bring a bit to the community

... just has the wrong oil (0W30)...
First: Hi
Second: that oil is fine.

It looks like you have Bridgestone S-02's. (on the front)
In the UK section of this forum there have been people posting that the S-02's aren't available anymore.
I would advise you to try and find them (S-02's) or get 245/45/16 for rear tires.

The car looks

For the oil, I think it is too fluid, the car went from max to almost min in 800 km
For AP1's that is not uncommon, especially when you spend a lot of time in
This is a Honda that may use a lot of oil.
A syn 10W-30 may be just as thick as 0W-30 at operating temp (both 30 weights).
If the 0W-30 was Castrol Edge, then I can assure you the Castrol will be thicker as that's almost a 40 weight.

Keep you're eye on the oil level!
(I guess you figured that out by now )

For the tires, ordered some Goodyear GS-D3,
When you have them changed, put the old rear S-02 next to the new rear Goodyear.
Take a picture and post it
